The selection committee is a group of individuals who follow Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) baseball on all levels. The  talented group of high-integrity individuals with experience as coaches, student-athletes, college administrators, sports journalists, sports information directors, athletics directors, college athletic administrators and educators, college baseball writers, sports journalists and broadcasters, and former HBCU ballplayers who have an interest in promoting HBCU baseball comprise the selection committee.
